Something to Live for – SERIES: Consecrated (8/12/2012)

(8/12/2012) Most of us, despite our best intentions, end up living our lives going from one expectation to the next. The challenge is for us to find direction from God so we are not merely doing good things, but the best things. Kent challenged us this week from 2 Chronicles 29:1-2 to invite God to challenge us and give direction to our lives instead of simply meeting outside expectations.

If you have been encouraged by Kent’s messages, we would encourage you to join Epic in helping people connect to God one person at a time by partnering with us through an online contribution!

Reflecting…

Today was a good day, I worked on creating some new street signs for Epic (which I’m pumped about). As I was working on them, I started reflecting on the people that God has brought to Epic and just how amazing it is that we all have worked so well together… I hear from people who visit how they can tell that there is a real sense of community at Epic, I think it’s because we are all heading in the same direction, Connecting People to God One Person at a Time! We basically care about two things, God and people and the two of them meeting :) ! It is such a cool thing to get to sit back and watch how God works in the lives of our church!

Parenting is tuff, there is is no manual that comes with your kids and some of us didn’t have great examples growing up. But there are some things we can learn from God’s word that will get us either back on track or starting in the right direction. That is what this week is all about, 3 Ways to Survive Parenting.

Psalm 127:3; Psalm 139:13-14; 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a; Matthew 7:15-23

Silent Night – SERIES: Chill

Our new series is entitled “Chill”. This week Kent talked about stopping and listening to God. God wants to do something big in your life, but to often our lives are so consumed with “busyness” that’s it hard to find traction & direction.  “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10) God’s perspective on how to find a liveable pace at Christmas.
