This week I am preaching on leveraging your giftedness for the Kingdom of God, and it made me think that some people may have a hard time identifying exactly what their gifting is… The word of God is very clear that each of us has been supernaturally gifted for a role in the Body of Christ (see 1 Corinthians 12 & 1 Peter 4:10) – so how do you discover what God has gifted you for? Well, one way is to take an inventory that will give you a close approximation to what that gift might be – here is one you can do online http://www.churchgrowth.org/cgi-cg/gifts.cgi?intro=1. This is not a perfect indicator – but should point you in the right direction. I hope this helps you to find your fit and to start determining just how God wants to use you in His Kingdom!

If you are like me, you probably have something or someone constantly calling for your attention. Sometimes, the best thing we can do for others is to get off and recoup, to seek God, to pray, to listen. Maybe today, on your way home from work you could shut off the radio. Maybe tonight you could go for a walk. Take the time to find some time! It’s worth it!
I wish that other people could know my wife like I do, it is the case that you never will – that right has been entrusted to me and I am blessed for it. You will never know how many times she has lifted my head after being beat to a pulp. You will never know the way she has looked me in the eyes and told me she believes in me. You will never know the gentle touch of love or the way my kids laugh when she plays with them. In my personal time reading the bible today, I was struck by the fact that everything that happened to Joseph in Genesis 37-40 was in order to position him to be next to Pharaoh in order to provide shelter to his family. This would turn the Hebrew nation into slaves in Egypt and Moses would raise up to lead the people out, all the way down through history to the birth of Jesus…divbr clear=none/divI love the forethought God put into bringing salvation into this world! God loves each of us so much – we should live like it!
